Not only the design and colors are classic British but even the type of fabric and fabric weave is a perfect match, giving the tie a sophisticated British look.
Necktie designer Parsley uses finest Mogador silk in their collection of British ties. Mogador is a fabric that combined finest cotton with highest grade silk in warp and weft. Weaving these two fabrics with completely different characteristics into one fabric is a skilled art that few designers have mastered as well as Parsley Luxury Neckwear. Silk is much more delicate and much softer that cotton. Therefore the silk is fist spun into a slightly thicker and stronger yarn using 5 strands of individual silk men's neckties. This, so-called 5-ply silk yarn is the then woven as the warp with finest cotton yarn in the weft. The result is a fabric that has a matte dull shine, slightly stiffer feel, and a very intricate ribbed texture ? it is the perfect compliment for any traditional striped tie ? that sometimes is also known as a repp-stripe, or collegiate striped necktie.
