The Timberland Company (NYSE:TBL) today announced the appointment of Indeka Imports Limited as exclusive
distributor of Timberland footwear products and exclusive operator of Timberland flagship and outlet stores in Canada. This agreement grants to Indeka the rights to import, sell,air max shoes, distribute and market Timberland men's,air max 2010, women's and children's footwear in Canada, beginning with Fall '97 product lines. Terms were not disclosed.

According to Kamal Sharma, Indeka president and chief operating officer, "Timberland represents a tremendous opportunity for Indeka. Demand among Canadian retailers and consumers for Timberland authentic outdoor footwear is high; and with this new business alliance we plan to grow the Timberland brand significantly in our territory."
